Today marked the successful launch of a new mentorship initiative in Edmonton, as university student mentors and local fathers came together to support high school students through guided peer mentorship.
The event brought together mature students from universities across Edmonton, who joined community leaders in a collaborative meeting aimed at empowering youth through shared experiences and life insights. The gathering emphasized the value of peer-to-peer support, with mentors encouraged to serve as relatable role models for younger students navigating high school and early adulthood.
Organizers confirmed that a second round of mentorship leaders will reconvene next week in a follow-up session via Zoom, continuing the dialogue and planning for the program’s next steps.
